Vodafone Italy has announced that its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network now covers over 5,000 municipalities throughout the country, equivalent to around 89% of the Italian population. The latest phase of the operator’s 4G rollout has focused on tourist resorts, with over 1,000 of Italy’s main tourist destinations now covered by LTE. In addition, the company’s 225Mbps LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network is now live in 500 cities, up from 250 in April this year and 150 in February.
