PCCW delivers satisfactory six-month results

7 Aug 2015

Hong Kong quadruple-play communications group PCCW registered what it called ‘satisfactory’ results for the six months ended 30 June 2015, ‘demonstrating the operational and financial resilience’ across all of its core business lines. Core revenue for the six months increased by 25% to HKD17.983 billion (USD2.320 billion). Core EBITDA increased by 30% to HKD5.784 billion, with the results reflecting: the successful integration of Hong Kong’s leading mobile operating brand CSL following its acquisition by PCCW in May 2014; the continued investment in new initiatives in its Media division (including Hong Kong’s leading pay-TV service, the IPTV-based ‘Now’); and the steady growth of its integrated business services-focused Solutions division.
