Helios Towers Nigeria has announced the formal renaming of its company to HTN Towers and has revealed that it is considering an initial public offering (IPO) of its shares. In a press release on its website, the telecoms tower firm said: ‘It is only with strong foundations that a company can reach its full potential and we want HTN Towers to be Africa’s leader in providing best-in-class telecom infrastructure services. We aspire to grow efficiently, both with our existing Nigerian customers and across the African continent’. HTN Towers revealed that it is exploring a number of strategic options to fulfil these growth ambitions, one of which is a potential IPO of its shares. The company has a diversified tower sites portfolio of over 1,200 sites with a presence in 34 of the 36 Nigerian states.
