Tele2 Russia completes legal restructuring

24 Jun 2015

Tele2 Russia has completed its legal reorganisation, simplifying its corporate structure to create a new company comprising its own mobile assets, and those of national operator Rostelecom. As such, 33 companies, including legal entities previously transferred to Tele2 from Rostelecom, have been merged into T2 Mobile. The integrated companies were liquidated on 16 June 2015.

T2 RTK Holding will remain the ultimate parent company, while its wholly-owned subsidiary T2 Mobile will provide mobile services across the company’s footprint, under the Tele2 brand. Meanwhile, Tele2 St Petersburg will remain a separate legal entity until it fulfils all of its obligations to bondholders.
