ZTE Corporation has announced a partnership with South East Asia Telecom Cambodia (SEATEL Cambodia), the local unit of Singapore-registered South East Asia Telecom Group (SEATEL Group), for the construction of a national Frequency Division Duplex Long Term Evolution (FDD-LTE) network to deliver high-performance mobile broadband services to consumers and businesses across Cambodia. The Chinese vendor is the exclusive provider of end-to-end 4G solutions and products, including core network Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and Internet Protocol Radio Access Network (IPRAN), and will also supply its Cloud UniCore and Cloud Radio network coordination products.
In 2013 Singapore-registered SEATEL acquired one of the Cambodian wireless markets smallest players, GT-Tell, which operates a CDMA2000 1x EV-DO network under the brand Excell. Investors in SEATEL include Hong Kong’s First Oriental Holdings Limited and Sun Bright International Holdings.
