TDC to offer IPTV services outside Denmark

9 Jun 2015

Danish telecoms provider TDC is planning to extend its wholesale IP-based TV services business into new countries, in cooperation with French-US equipment vendor Alcatel-Lucent. Under the agreement, Alca-Lu will first deploy TDC’s Mediaroom platform in Norway, thus allowing TDC to quickly introduce new services to customers of Norwegian internet service provider (ISP) NextGenTel. Going forward, TDC will deliver high-quality IPTV to other countries within its footprint. Jacob Zentio Larsen, vice president of TV at TDC, said: ‘Video is the in-demand service for consumers and they do not want to compromise on quality. We are pleased to continue our long working relationship with Alcatel-Lucent to help us quickly expand our high-quality video service offer to customers in other markets to satisfy growing demand.’
