Ooredoo LTE-A network now live in Kuwait

Ooredoo Kuwait has upgraded its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) standard. The ‘4G+ SPEED’ branded network aggregates frequencies in the 800MHz and 1800MHz bands, and is capable of delivering download speeds of up to 150Mbps. The cellco has stated that there will be no extra charge for customers to use the new network.

According to TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, Ooredoo switched on its LTE network in July 2013, using the 1800MHz band.
