Telekom Slovenije to use LTE as fixed broadband alternative

26 May 2015

Telekom Slovenije has announced that it is to use its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless infrastructure to begin offering a triple-play package of voice, internet and TV services to customers in areas not served by fixed broadband networks. The new bundle will be available from next month, providing users with a 10Mbps internet connection via a SIM-enabled modem, an IPTV set-top box and a set of outdoor antennae. The firm says the user experience will be comparable to using its fixed broadband networks. Pricing for the new offering has not yet been published.
