Sky Mobile continues HSPA+ network expansion

26 May 2015

Kyrgyzstan’s Sky Mobile, which provides services under the Beeline brand, has increased the number of HSPA+ base transceiver stations (BTS) in operation by 8% over the last three months, it has announced. The 3.5G network expansion took place in the Chuy, Batken, Jalal-Abad, Issyk Kul, Osh and Bishkek provinces.

TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that Sky Mobile launched its 3.5G HSPA+ network – the first of its kind in Kyrgyzstan – in central districts of Bishkek on 1 December 2010, and has subsequently focused on expanding its network elsewhere in the country.
