Tele Columbus to add mobile voice, data to cable packages

19 May 2015

German cable operator Tele Columbus is set to expand its product portfolio with the launch of mobile data and telephony services in partnership with Drillisch. The new wireless service, which will utilise the network infrastructure of Telefonica Deutschland, is scheduled to be introduced in the second half of 2015. From that date, customers will be able to subscribe to a mobile voice and data (including LTE) plan as part of the cable company’s combined product packages of broadband internet, television and fixed telephony. Under the long-term cooperation agreement with Drillisch, Tele Columbus will be responsible for the marketing, contract management, customer services and billing, and says that the exact pricing model for the new mobile offering will be announced at launch later this year.
