Q1 sales stable at Tiscali, though net loss widens

Italian internet service provider (ISP) Tiscali has reported net losses of EUR3.6 million (USD4.1 million) for the three months to 31 March 2015, up from EUR2.2 million a year earlier. Revenues were stable at EUR53 million, while EBITDA fell from EUR11 million in Q1 2014 to EUR10 million in the first quarter of this year. The firm said it added 18,600 net new active customers in the year to 31 March 2015, taking its overall subscriber base to 578,300, which included 466,700 ADSL broadband customers and more than 100,000 users of its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) service.
