Singapore Windsor’s Myanmar division has secured a build-and-lease contract for 500 towers from Ooredoo Myanmar, Deal Street Asia writes, citing a stock exchange filing. Based on the cost of construction, the deal was valued at USD39 million over the 18-month rollout period, with the contract due to come into effect from 1 July this year. Singapore Windsor will lease and manage the 500 towers for a 15-year period, extendable for a further three terms of five years. The passive infrastructure firm noted, however, that the towers are designed and configured to allow for rentals to other mobile network operators.
