Kabel Deutschland, the German cableco owned by Vodafone Group, has expanded the availability of its 200Mbps broadband service to a further 54 locations, including Bremen, Cuxhaven, Greiz, Oldenburg, Osnabruck, Perleberg, Schleiz, Schwerin, Taufkirchen and Waldkraiburg. Around 720,000 additional households are now able to benefit from the cable operator’s high speed service, increasing the total number of homes with Kabel Deutschland’s 200Mbps footprint to 2.5 million; this is expected to rise to more than seven million by early 2016. For new customers, the ‘Internet & Telefon 200’ package, which includes 12Mbps upload speeds and a fixed telephony flat rate, is priced at EUR39.99 (USD45.3) per month for the first year and EUR59.99 per month thereafter.
