AT&T gives Puerto Rico investment update: USD290m in 2012/14

AT&T invested approximately USD290 million in its wireless and wireline networks in Puerto Rico from 2012 to 2014, the US giant said in a press release, improving reliability, coverage, speed and network performance for residential and corporate customers. As part of the US-wide ‘Velocity IP’ (VIP) investment programme aimed at improving and expanding wireless infrastructure, in 2014 alone AT&T’s enhancements to the network in Puerto Rico included 14 new cell sites and over 250 upgrades to increase 4G LTE capacity.
