MobiNil sells off tower unit

Egyptian mobile network operator MobiNil has reportedly divested its dominant stake in an Egyptian mobile tower services firm to a subsidiary of telecommunications tower firm Eaton Towers, according to Reuters. In a deal which is understood to be worth around EGP1 billion (USD131.15 million), the cellco has reportedly sold its 99.99% stake in the Egyptian Company for Mobile Tower Services to Eaton Towers Egypt Limited, a subsidiary of UK-based Eaton Towers.
