Telenor Norway surpasses one million M2M connections

23 Apr 2015

Telenor Norway has announced that the number of machine-to-machine (M2M) subscriptions on its books has now surpassed one million. Announcing the milestone, Marina Lonning, Business Market Manager at Telenor Norway, was cited as saying: ‘’The fact that we’ve passed the one million mark for subscriptions in this area shows that Norway is light years ahead in the use of M2M technology, and the development of smart cities and things.’

Having first started to offer M2M services some 20 years ago, albeit when they were known as telemetry, today Telenor Norway claims to supply nine out of ten M2M subscriptions in the country, and has said it expects ‘further rapid growth’ in this sector.
