Telekom Slovenije sale talks to run until mid-May

22 Apr 2015

Slovenia’s government says it hopes to complete negotiations over the potential sale of a majority stake in national fixed and mobile operator Telekom Slovenije by mid-May. Slovenia Sovereign Holding (SDH), which controls the state’s 72.75% interest in the telco, is holding discussions with the sole bidder, private equity fund Cinven. Some sources are saying that the government is disappointed at Cinven’s low offer, which is thought to be around EUR110 (USD118) per share, and that there is no guarantee that the government will go on to finalise a deal.
