NetCracker carries out OSS transformation for FastWeb

Italian internet service provider (ISP) FastWeb has awarded a contract to NetCracker Technology for an operation support system (OSS) transformation project to optimise operations and provide better quality services for its customers. NetCracker will provide its NetCracker Framework, as well as its Service Order Management, Service Inventory and Service Information Management solutions as part of the OSS transformation. Guido Roda, Head of Information Technology at FastWeb, commented: ‘The new functionality being delivered through this service management implementation will give us the tools and capabilities we require to remain a dominant player in the forward-progressing Italian communications environment.’
