2 Apr 2015

The Economic Times of India cites an unnamed source as saying that Tata Teleservices has awarded Huawei of China a USD15 million three-year contract to upgrade the group’s wireline infrastructure. According to a person familiar with the situation who wished to remain anonymous due to the confidential nature of the talks, the Chinese equipment maker will modernise Tata Teleservices’ country-wide internet protocol (IP)-based core network with routers capable of supporting 100G and 400G technology to handle more data services. Tata and Huawei both declined to comment when contacted by the paper.
