Tusmobil reaches 300,000 user milestone

Slovenian cellco Tusmobil has announced that it has reached the 300,000 subscriber mark, giving it around 13% of the country’s overall mobile market in terms of users. The firm, which is owned by the Slovenian cable TV and broadband operator Telemach, competes with larger rivals Telekom Slovenije and Si.mobil, plus fourth operator T-2. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Tusmobil launched its first 2G network in October 2007, before going on to add 3G services the following June; an upgrade to 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology is planned for 2015.
