Telekom Slovenije signs first LTE roaming pact

31 Mar 2015

Slovenian fixed and mobile operator Telekom Slovenije has announced its first international 4G roaming agreement, having signed a deal to access the Long Term Evolution (LTE) network of Croatia’s T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT). Telekom Slovenije says it currently has 3G roaming in place with 187 operators in 94 countries, while 2G roaming is available via 483 operators in 204 countries. Further 4G agreements are set to be announced in the future, Telecompaper reports. Telekom launched LTE-based services in Slovenia in March 2013, and now claims to have 4G coverage in over 200 cities and towns, covering some 80% of the population.
