Kop a load of this: TTK WiMAX rollout reaches Chelyabinsk Oblast

TransTeleCom (TTK) has announced that it has extended its 3.5GHz WiMAX network to the city of Kopeysk in the Chelyabinsk Oblast. TTK’s network first went live in October 2014 in Kostroma, Engels and Balakovo (all Saratov Oblast), Yelets (Lipetsk Oblast) and Ukhta (Komi Republic), before being extended to other areas such as Kansk and Achinsk Krasnoyarsk (Siberia, December 2014) and Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol Krai, January 2015).

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, in September 2011 the Federal Supervision Agency for IT, Communications & Media (Roskomnadzor) awarded TTK WiMAX frequencies in the 3400MHz-3450MHz and 3500MHz-3550MHz spectrum bands covering a total of 27 Russian regions.
