Swedish vendor Ericsson has partnered with Etisalat Misr to deploy the former’s Radio Dot System in a development which they have claimed represents the first implementation of its kind in Egypt and ‘demonstrates the solution’s capabilities catering to the fast-growing demand for data traffic’ in the country. Ericsson has said its Radio Dot System is a cost-effective solution to indoor coverage challenges and is designed to support operators in consistently delivering a better user experience for both voice and data in the broadest range of enterprise buildings and public venues. This solution reportedly fully integrates with Etisalat Misr’s network and will provide seamless coverage for the cellco’s subscribers in the broadest range of in-building deployment scenarios, ensuring ‘consistent delivery of excellent customer experience in voice and data services’.
Commenting on the matter, Etisalat Misr’s chief technical officer Khalid Murshed was cited as saying: ‘Ericsson’s Radio Dot System will enable us to offer our customers a better user experience. We are consistently placing the needs of our customers first, and this system will ensure that they enjoy the best possible indoor mobile connectivity.’
