South Korean-backed WiMAX provider Super iMAX, which trades under the EVO brand name, has confirmed that it is planning to launch its Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) network on 1 April 2015, UzDaily writes. The new service will be made available in the capital, Tashkent, as well as Samarkand, Bukhara and several other large cities in the Ferghana Valley region. The network, which is being rolled out to replace the provider’s WiMAX platform, will be extended to other regions in 2016. Around USD10 million has been invested in the deployment.
