10 Mar 2015

Mobile operator O2 Slovakia says it has added another 21 new locations to its 3G network, taking total population coverage to 65%. According to a report from Telecompaper, although O2 launched 4G LTE services in Bratislava and Kosice towards the end of last year, the completion of its 3G infrastructure remains its priority. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database shows that O2 is the smallest of Slovakia’s three cellular operators, accounting for around 24% of the country’s 6.7 million mobile subscribers at the end of 2014.
