Telekom Deutschland, the domestic fixed and mobile unit of German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom (DT), is planning to roll out VDSL vectoring to an additional 5.9 million homes, Reuters reports, citing an unnamed company spokesman. Previously, DT revealed that it will connect around 65% of households to high speed internet, but with the additional 5.9 million households, coverage will rise to around 80% by 2018. Customers in the areas upgraded with VDSL vectoring technology are able to access maximum speeds of 100Mbps download and 40Mbps upload.
