Orange Group subsidiary Sonatel, which is based in Senegal and also has subsidiaries in Mali, Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conakry, has reported that revenue for 2014 reached XOF816 billion (USD1.42 billion) and net profit stood at XOF241 billion, allowing the group to propose a dividend of XOF1,440 (USD2.5) per share, compared to the XOF1,392 it paid in 2013. Further, Sonatel appears to be in a better financial position, with a total debt of XOF3 billion at the same date, equivalent to only 0.5% of its equity.
