Netia sees revenues slide 11% in 2014

20 Feb 2015

Polish telco Netia has reported an 11% drop in revenues for full-year 2014 to PLN1.67 billion (USD455 million), with the decline attributed mainly to a fall in the number of revenue-generating units (RGUs), particularly in the fixed line market, as well as cuts to mobile termination rates (MTRs). Adjusted EBITDA was PLN493.2 million for 2014, down by 10% versus 2013, though annual net profit jumped from PLN46.3 million in 2013 to PLN174.8 million last year, thanks to a one-off PLN145 million legal settlement with Orange Polska.

Total RGUs numbered 2.30 million at 31 December 2014 as compared to 2.53 million twelve months before. The number of broadband internet customers fell from 848,909 to 789,876 over the year, while the fixed line user base dropped from 1.49 million to 1.33 million.
