Telekom vectoring reaches 400,000 additional homes

Telekom Deutschland, the domestic fixed and mobile unit of German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom (DT), has expanded its VDSL vectoring service to an additional 400,000 households in Wittenberg, Cottbus, Muenster, Peine, Velbert, Dinslaken, Goettingen, Heilbronn, Herne and Recklinghausen. Customers in the upgraded areas are now able to access maximum speeds of 100Mbps download and 40Mbps upload. Telekom is aiming to double the total number of VDSL households passed from twelve million to 24 million by the end of 2016.
