MTC to invest PEN243m on telecoms in Arequipa

Peru’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) is set to invest PEN3.418 billion (USD1.088 billion) in infrastructure in Arequipa, PEN243 million of which would go towards telecoms projects, La Republica cites transport and communications minister Jose Gllardo Ku as saying. The telecoms projects are expected to benefit some 901,000 people, although the official offered no further details on the MTC’s plans.
