Uzbek duo line up USD100m investment for 2015

Uzbek cellcos Beeline and Ucell are planning to invest UZS254.9 billion (USD102.45 million) in developing mobile networks in 2015, UzDaily writes. Beeline, part of Russian-backed Vimpelcom Group, is set to spend UZS150.8 billion on technological upgrades to its network in 2015 with a view to lifting capacity to 10.8 million and including UZS15.1 billion to be funnelled into expansion work. Meanwhile, Swedish-backed Ucell has outlined investment of UZS104.1 billion for technical enhancements, UZS31.2 billion of which has been earmarked for the extension of its network.
