T-HT doubles 4G network speed on new frequencies

9 Feb 2015

Maximum speed of 4G mobile internet access on the LTE network of Croatia’s T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT) has increased from 75Mbps to 150Mbps, the operator announced in a press release, following its allocation of an additional 2×10MHz in the 1800MHz band last December. Thorsten Albers, CTO at T-HT, said: ‘The new investment in which we purchased an additional radio frequency spectrum allows us to offer our customers twice the speed of mobile Internet, and our 4G network delivers the fastest surfing in Croatia. Speeds allowed by our 4G network mean for users even more advanced and better use of services such as live TV streaming (MAXtv To Go), HD video streaming and online gaming. We continue with the investments in network development. In addition to mobile … the landline network and the expansion of our optical network.’ The new LTE maximum speeds are available for end users from midFebruary.
