Entel sees 21.7% jump in FY profit

Bolivia’s state-owned telco Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) has recorded profits of BOB891 million (USD129 million) for full-year 2014, an increase of 21.7% over the previous year. Revenues were up by BOB306 million to BOB4.08 billion, Telesemana writes, citing a report from the Bolivian Information Agency (ABI). Entel is the dominant provider of internet access and wireless services in Bolivia, and is also the country’s former monopoly domestic and international long-distance (DLD and ILD) operator.
