Telcel extends 4G to Oaxaca

Mexican mobile operator Telcel has extended its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Oaxaca, in south-west Mexico. The cellco, which is owned by America Movil (AM), notes that the deployment gives it coverage of 53 cities across the country. The network, which supports downlink transmission speeds of up to 20Mbps, spans from Tijuana on the Baja California Peninsula to Cancun, on the north-east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.
