Kabel Deutschland introduces 200Mbps connections in Munich

Kabel Deutschland, the German cableco owned by Vodafone Group, has introduced a service offering downlink transmission speeds of 200Mbps in and around Munich, the third largest city in Germany. As such, the broadband provider has connected more than 750,000 households in locations such as Baierbrunn, Gauting, Germering, Grafelfing, Ismaning, Krailling, Neubiberg, Neuried, Ottobrunn, Planegg, Puchheim, Pullach, Riemerling and Unterfohring. The company’s new ‘Internet & Telefon 200’ package is priced at EUR59.90 (USD70.18) per month, and includes peak uplink speeds of 12Mbps. The service is currently available for an introductory price of EUR39.90 for new subscribers. By 31 March 2015 Kabel Deutschland aims to provide 200Mbps coverage to around two million homes, increasing to seven million by early-2016.
