AccessKenya budgets USD5.5 million for fibre rollouts in 2015

Kenyan corporate internet service provider AccessKenya Group has budgeted KES500 million (USD5.47 million) for fibre optic rollouts in 2015, which will see more commercial buildings in additional counties connected to its broadband services, The Star reports. AccessKenya has so far linked 780 buildings to its fibre network in Nairobi and Mombasa. A company’s spokesperson added: ‘We intend to add another [eleven] counties to our wireless connectivity network, bringing the total counties covered to 38 by December 2015.’
