Emcali taps Alepo to modernise AAA infrastructure

13 Jan 2015

Colombian telecoms service provider Empresas Municipales de Cali (Emcali) has selected Texan software vendor Alepo to modernise its authentication, authorisation and accounting (AAA) infrastructure across its multiple fixed and mobile broadband networks. The transition to a more streamlined network environment is expected to enable Emcali to drastically enhance its service offerings and customer experience. By utilising Alepo’s carrier-grade AAA infrastructure, Emcali will be able to bring new triple-play services and revenue opportunities to market faster, without adding network complexity. The platform offers multi-access network support, and will encompass Emcali’s WiMAX, Wi-Fi, xDSL, GPON and 3G UMTS networks, reducing OPEX and total cost of ownership.
