More than 12,000 have used MNP in Azerbaijan

8 Jan 2015

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communication and High Technologies has revealed that the number of mobile subscribers who have used mobile number portability (MNP) to switch to a different operator has exceeded 12,000. The free service was launched by Azerbaijan’s three GSM operators (Azercell, Azerfon [Nar Mobile] and Bakcell) on 1 February 2014, and takes six days to implement. Customers are only permitted to transfer their numbers to a different network once in a three-month period.
