Uzbektelecom to bolster CDMA system

State-owned telco Uzbektelecom has opened a tender for the supply of telecom equipment to develop its CDMA-450 network, including an EV-DO upgrade, UzDaily reports. The tender is split into two lots, one covering the southern territories and the second covering the northern regions of the country. The telco has set price ceilings of USD6.9 million and USD5.8 million respectively for the two lots. Bids are to be submitted by 6 February 2015.
