Nur continues 3G network expansion

Kyrgyz mobile operator Nur Telecom, which provides services under the ‘O!’ banner, has continued its 3G network expansion programme, deploying 19 new base transceiver stations (BTS) in the Chui Province. Villages now covered by the 3G network include Antonovka, Alamudun, Lebedinovka, Ornok, Maevka, lower Ala-Archa, Novo-Pavlovka, Lenin, Dostuk and Novopokrovka. Network capacity has also been increased in the cities of Bishkek and Tokmok. Commercial director at Nur Telecom, Maskim Sidorenko, commented: ‘We are constantly working to expand the coverage area and are happy to report that the 3G network coverage in Chui [is] greatly expanded … This will help provide better voice services and mobile internet.’ The operator previously increased 3G network coverage in the Naryn and Talas provinces in November and December, respectively.
