Taiwanese multi-service operator Far EasTone (FET) is aiming to double the number of its 4G subscribers to two million by the end of 2015, up from the one million it currently has on its books. According to the Taipei Times, FET vice-president Maxwell Cheng has said that in order to achieve its target it will roll out additional base stations offering 4G via the 1800MHz band until there are twice as many than those 4G stations it already has using the 700MHz frequency band. Meanwhile, FET is reportedly intending to introduce commercial voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) services in the first quarter of 2015.
