Hot on the heels of Axiata announcing a global framework agreement with a number of strategic suppliers, Ericsson has confirmed details of its partnership with the Malaysian operator. In a press release the Swedish vendor confirmed that it has entered a three-year global framework agreement with Axiata under which it will provide microwave and radio technologies for the latter’s subsidiary. With the deal said to extend the supply of microwave, 2G, 3G and 4G wireless technologies, this will reportedly include Ericsson’s MINI-LINK microwave transmission, multi-standard RBS6000 family of base stations for macro and small cell networks, and the vendor’s Psi Coverage solution.
