MVNO Lebara to exit Poland

16 Dec 2014

The Polish mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Lebara Mobile, which offers services via the Polkomtel network, has announced that it will shut down its operations at the end of March 2015. A report from Telepolis said the firm did not give the reasons behind its withdrawal from the market. Lebara, which has been open for less than a year, specialises in providing low-cost international calls for immigrants and migrant workers, but has a number of competitors targeting the same sector, including Lycamobile. Polkomtel recently lost its oldest MVNO partner with the closure of the mBank Mobile service.
