15 Dec 2014

Slovakian fibre, cable and wireless broadband network operator Slovanet has acquired the minor cable TV provider PO-MA, which has infrastructure covering around 2,000 homes in the town of Banska Stiavnica. The new owner says it intends to upgrade PO-MA’s networks to fibre technology to enable it to offer a package of voice, data and video services. Slovanet had an estimated 40,000 broadband internet subscribers at end-September 2014.
