Beeline switches on DC-HSPA+ in Kazan and some cities in the Republic of Tatarstan

Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom (trading as Beeline) has launched Dual Carrier (DC) HSPA+ services in Kazan and some major cities of the Republic of Tatarstan. The cellco says that around half of its base stations in Kazan have been upgraded to DC-HSPA+, allowing for peak download rates of 42Mbps in areas of high data traffic. DC-HSPA+ upgrades have also been in Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, Leninogorsk, Ar, Yelabuga and other settlements of the Republic of Tatarstan.
