Tata picks Nokia for 3G boost

Nokia Networks has completed a network modernisation programme for Tata DOCOMO, upgrading the cellco’s platform with HSPA+ technology in Karnataka, Haryana and Punjab. The Finnish vendor supplied its Flexi Multiradio base stations and radio network controllers as well as its Flexi Lite Base Stations and its network management system, NetAct. The agreement also saw Nokia provide network planning, optimisation and management services for the rollout.
