O! expands 3G coverage, offers more LTE-capable devices

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Nur Telecom, which operates under the ‘O!’ banner, has expanded its 3G services in the Naryn province as well as the villages of Jany-Jol and Kochkor via the establishment of new base stations, saying: ‘It is important to ensure high-quality communication of all the inhabitants of the Republic, but it should be noted separately that the Naryn region…is difficult to access…mobile communication is almost the only opportunity to communicate with the outside world. That is why the company is focusing on the development of the network in this area.’ O! also reports it has introduced devices capable of supporting high speed data / Long Term Evolution (LTE) for residents of the Issyk-Kul, Talas and Naryn regions, continuing to support growth of its 4G LTE network launched in May 2014.
