Deutsche Telekom subsidiary Magyar Telekom (MTel) has launched Hungary’s first mobile wallet service ‘MobilTarca’ in partnership with OTP Bank, MasterCard, SuperShop and InterTicket. The payment application will allow customers to download a virtual debit card and pay for services at more than 38,000 contactless terminals across Hungary, as well as exchange SuperShop loyalty points and pay for concert and theatre show events; MTel claims over 30 devices will be able to run the app by the end of the year.
