Mobile provider Vodafone Hungary has been fined HUF125 million (USD510,119) by the country’s Competition Authority (GVH) for what the Budapest Business Journal cites as ‘unfair advertising’; during 2013 Vodafone’s Hungarian arm made declarations of its mobile network being the best and fastest in the country, but according to GVH: ‘peculiarities of mobile internet (transfer technology, network load, environmental factors) do not allow legitimate, objective comparison of network speed.’
