18 Nov 2014

Satellite communications operator Eutelsat says it is looking to expand its presence in Slovakia, where it offers satellite broadband connectivity via its Tooway service. A report from Telecompaper says the operator currently has around 500 broadband customers in Slovakia, though it is looking to reach 6,000 users within two years. The firm provides internet access at peak speeds of up to 22Mbps download and 6Mbps upload, priced at EUR99 (USD124) a month for an unlimited service. The service is targeted at business and home users in rural areas who are not covered by fixed broadband networks.
